They are good housedogs as well as companion dog. Adults ones need two or three 20- to 30-minute walks or playtimes per day. Feathering covers the backs of the forelegs, and the hind legs are dressed in breeches, a fringe of longish hair on the thigh area, also known as culottes. Topping it all off is a long, flowing plume of a tail carried proudly arched over the body.

The coat isn’t prone to matting but should be combed and brushed once or twice a week to distribute the natural skin oils and keep the hair and skin shiny and healthy. They don’t have a dog odour, so occasional bathing is only required. Trimming of nails for two or three times a month is recommended.

How to Train this dog

You must be consistent in training them. Give them plenty of opportunities to potty outside and lots of praise when they do it. Give them as few opportunities to make a mistake as possible, but never punish them if they do. The more often your dog has accidents in the house, the more difficult it will be to persuade them that it’s not allowed.
Always take them out when they first wake up in the morning, after every meal, after naps, after playtime, after a grooming session or bath, and just before bedtime. Crate training at a young age will help the dog to accept confinement. They are fast learners too. They are also easy to house break, if kept on a schedule.
